Pancho the Sea Lion is a local legend in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, one of the top fishing destinations in the world. Cabo San Lucas is home to world class Striped Marlin, Tuna, and Mahi fishing. It’s also home to a TON of fat sea lions who lounge around near the fishing docks, waiting for fishermen to toss them handouts after returning from sea. Pancho the Sea Lion is a Sea Lion who has been following boats in Cabo San Lucas for years now when he smells fish and has become a bit of an attraction in the marina of San Lucas. Here is what I filmed of him when we he decided to follow our boat!
After a day or fishing, this sea lion jumped up on our boat begging for fish. He was a little picky, where he only wanted whole fish - not a portion of a fish. When he didn't take it right away, a pelican swooped in and stole it!

Amazing boat trip to see the famous arch in Cabo San Lucas. What an incredible day out! We saw where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet. One of the few tourist destinations in the world where you can swim in a sea and an ocean in the same day.

The fishing guides said these sea lions always come looking for a treat but to be careful around them since you never know what they'e going to do. I had the fishing chair in front of me the whole time for a little protection. Hope you enjoy it & visit Cabo if you can- it was beautiful and the people were great too. We were at the Cabo San Lucas marina and saw this local feeding pelicans and a Sea Lion. But it turned out that he was only teasing the poor Sea Lion, who later on swims away and barks in disappointment.
